چکیده

Assembly lines are often indispensable in factories, and order to attain a certain level of assembly line productivity, multiple goals must be considered at the same time. However, these may conflict with each other, this is multi-objective balancing problem. This study considers four objectives, namely minimizing cycle time, number workstations, workload variance, workstation idle Since objectives for example, time increase fuzzy linear programming model used maximize satisfaction level. When problem becomes too complicated, it not solved by using mathematical software package. Therefore, genetic algorithm proposed solve efficiently. By studying practical cases an automobile manufacturer, results show that can small-scale problems efficiently, obtain good solutions large-scale short computational Datasets from previous works adopted examine applicability models. The both smaller larger problems. models applied practitioners managing

Fuzzy multi-objective assembly line balancing problem: Fuzzy mathematical programming approach

Design of assembly line is done in order to more coordinate a collection of some consecutive work stations for the aim of obtaining more productivity from the work stations and workers. The stations are arranged in a way to have a continuous and constant material flow. In this paper a multi-objective formulation for assembly line balancing is introduced. As a solution approach a two-step approa...

Multi-objective fuzzy assembly line balancing using genetic algorithms

This paper presents a fuzzy extension of the simple assembly line balancing problem of type 2 (SALBP-2) with fuzzy job processing times since uncertainty, variability, and imprecision are often occurred in real-world production systems. The jobs processing times are formulated by triangular fuzzy membership functions. The total fuzzy cost function is formulated as the weighted-sum of two bi-cri...

A New Multi-objective Job Shop Scheduling with Setup Times Using a Hybrid Genetic Algorithm

This paper  presents a new multi objective job shop scheduling with sequence-dependent setup times. The objectives are to minimize the makespan and sum of the earliness and tardiness of jobs in a time window. A mixed integer programming model is developed for the given problem that belongs to NP-hard class. In this case, traditional approaches cannot reach to an optimal solution in a reasonable...

Using Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm with Fuzzy Logic Controller for Assembly Line Balancing Problem with Worker Allocation

Assembly lines are typical flow oriented production systems, which are of great importance in the industrial production of high quantity standardized commodities. The assembly line balancing (ALB) problems deal with the assignment of various tasks to an ordered sequence of workstations, while optimizing one or more objectives without violating restrictions imposed on the line. In this study, we...

Solving a multi-objective mixed-model assembly line balancing and sequencing problem

This research addresses the mixed-model assembly line (MMAL) by considering various constraints. In MMALs, several types of products which their similarity is so high are made on an assembly line. As a consequence, it is possible to assemble and make several types of products simultaneously without spending any additional time. The proposed multi-objective model considers the balancing and sequ...
